Tomato ‘Indigo Blue Beauty’ Indigo Blue Beauty is a cross between Beauty King and a wild blue tomato, producing highly distinctive, eye-catching fruits. When exposed to direct sunlight, the tomatoes develop deep blue to purple shoulders due to high anthocyanin levels, while the base ripens to a rich crimson red, creating a striking two-tone appearance. Fruits are medium-sized beefsteak type, typically weighing around 120–200g. They have a smooth skin, are resistant to cracking and sunburn, and hold well on the vine over an extended period. The flavour is sweet, juicy, and well-balanced with mild acidity. For best taste, fruits should be left to fully ripen on the vine, as they undergo significant colour and flavour development during maturation. This is an indeterminate (cordon) variety with vigorous growth, producing reliable crops over a long season. Suitable for greenhouse cultivation or warm, sunny outdoor conditions.
