Tropical Grey Woodlice - 50ml Pot - 10+

Tropical Grey Woodlice (Porcellionides pruinosus) Tropical Grey Woodlice are fast-moving soil isopods that grow to approximately 10mm, making them noticeably larger than springtails and many other tropical woodlouse species. Their soft bodies make them an excellent live food source for many reptiles and other vivarium inhabitants. They are prolific breeders and will usually establish a self-sustaining colony within the enclosure, although particularly hungry occupants may reduce their numbers. Similar in appearance to the European Striped Woodlouse (Philoscia muscorum), Tropical Grey Woodlice also make excellent vivarium custodians. They consume mould, decaying plant matter and animal waste while turning and aerating the substrate. They thrive in warm, humid tropical vivariums and provide both an effective clean-up crew and a useful calcium-rich supplementary food source.
